ACTIVE Network Launches Race Registration Insurance With Allianz Global Assistance

Roughly 15% of race registrants never even make it to the starting line¹. ACTIVE Network, the leader in cloud-based Activity and Participant Management™ (APM (News - Alert)), and Allianz Global Assistance USA, a leader in consumer specialty insurance, are partnering to provide event organizers and participants peace of mind by protecting registration fees for both parties when participants can't show up on race day with 'Registration Protector'.

Registration Protector is a new benefit to all ACTIVE.com customers who sign up for events online. During registration, participants will be provided with the option to purchase Registration Protector. With Registration Protector, a participant who misses an event for a covered reason such as an injury, illness, job loss, transportation delays, military/family/legal obligations, and more can get their registration fees reimbursed.*

Registration Protector will refund 100% of insured registration costs, subject to certain conditions and limitations, including fees and other related cots up to the maximum coverage amount of $10,000 and includes Allianz Global Assistance's 24/7 service and assistance. Allianz Global Assistance manages all customer service and claims activity, without risk or management resources from event organizers.
