Apica Unveils Load Testing Portal for Cloud, Mobile, and Enterprise Testing
PALO ALTO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Apica,
a leading load testing and performance monitoring provider, has
introduced ApicaLoadTest.com,
a powerful new load testing portal that brings together the tools,
premium load generation testing networks, and professional experts to
initiate on-demand cloud, mobile, and enterprise load tests for up to 2
million concurrent users. The new SaaS (News - Alert) testing platform, powered by Apica
ProxySniffer, enables developers and IT professionals to plan,
execute, and analyze load tests of any size to measure exactly how many
users an application can handle before response times degrade or systems
crash.
The Apica LoadTest platform offers testing options with flexible
pricing and licensing to meet every user's needs, from single
projects to ongoing large-scale testing initiatives. Load tests can be
conducted locally behind a firewall, from AWS
data centers, or from Apica's premium testing network of over 50
worldwide virtual and physical locations.
Four testing options are available within the portal, including:
-
Internal
testing, which utilizes Apica
ProxySniffer to generate loads based on local resources of up to
100,000 virtual concurrent users per test server, with options to
expand capacity as needed.
-
Pure
cloud testing also utilizes Apica ProxySniffer to enable
experienced testing professionals with cloud-based and public Internet
sites to quickly scale loads up to 200,000 virtual concurrent users
from nine AWS data centers. Cloud testing is available via a
pay-as-you-go pricing model based on capacity.
-
Apica
LoadTest Self-Service allows testing teams to create and store
scripts in the repository to perform load tests and analyze results
over time from Apica's premium testing network. Apica professional
service experts are available on-demand for either hourly or
project-based consultation to ensure successful load testing execution.
-
Apica
LoadTest Full-Service is a fully-managed service that
provides CIOs and business/IT managers running cloud-based and public
Internet sites with access to expert script design, test execution,
and interpreted results, with fixed pricing for up to 2 million
virtual users.
"As applications become increasingly complex, the need for on-demand
load testing is at an all-time high," said Sven Hammar, CEO of Apica.
"We have created a flexible load testing portal to meet the needs of
developers and businesses that want to test applications but don't have
their own platform or network to do so. We are opening up access to our
tools, services, and global network of test center locations so users
can test their application performance from selected physical and cloud
locations around the world. Accurately controlling and monitoring the
effects of a load test over time leads to application performance
improvements."
Apica LoadTest is part of the Apica
WebExcellence Suite of managed services and SaaS tools for
performance monitoring and testing. It is cloud-based so no hardware or
software is needed to conduct the load tests. Test results are stored in
the portal and can be easily accessed throughout the entire API. Through
integration with AppDynamics'
real-time application performance monitoring users are also able to
drill down to the code level to better understand the factors that
impact testing results and isolate problems before they can affect
overall performance.
Apica ProxySniffer is available as a free
download for 20 virtual-user load tests of up to 10 minutes per
test. Apica is also offering one-week evaluations of its internal
testing option for 5,000 virtual users and pure cloud testing option for
20,000 virtual users. For more information or to sign up for an
evaluation, please visit http://www.apicaloadtest.com/.
